Akos Armont (Founder & Director)

A graduate of NIDA, Akos has over ten years of experience in project development, film & television, creative education, live performance and community engagement. He wrote the 2013 award-winning short film, The Tender Dark and is currently in production on Brabham, a feature documentary based on the life of Sir Jack Brabham, Australia’s Formula One champion.

Akos is the recipient of the Screen NSW Emerging Filmmaker Fund and Winner of the AACTA | AFI Social Shorts Award for Best Drama 2015. Akos has also been recognised by the Australian Writers Guild for his writing and has undertaken two documentary film residencies on the Thai/Myanmar boarder, through the generous support of the Australia-Thailand Foundation & Asialink program. 

Since 2014, Akos has been an active member of the board of the Actors Benevolent Fund NSW, where he has also taken on the role of Media & Communications Manager, coordinating the organization rebrand and web development strategy. Alongside his producing work, Akos is undertaking a Juris Doctor at the University of Technology and continues to consult with the arts sector, most recently working with the Australian World Orchestra as Media, Education & Events Manager. 


Antony waddington (senior producer)

An alumnus of U.T.S. (B.A. Comm. ’95) and Sydney University (M.A. Performance Studies ’98), Antony spent the 1980’s - 90’s working with the Sydney Theatre Co., State Theatre Co. of South Australia & The New England Theatre Co. At the same time, he began working as a producer with Paper Bark Films on training films & music videos for Sony Music, WEA, EMI & Mushroom Records. For the ABC, SBS, and Network 10, he executive produced, was stills photographer & co-wrote the documentaries, Spirits of the CarnivalTides of Passageand Photographers of Australia.  

Antony developed & produced Fred Schepisi’s multi-award winning 2011 feature adaptation of Patrick White’s novel, The Eye of the Storm(staring Geoffrey Rush, Charlotte Rampling & Judy Davis). He recently produced the 2016 short film, Gangster Dragand is currently developing the feature documentary Enduranceand the feature film Helena. A member of Screen Producers Australia, Antony also lectures in tertiary - entertainment business, communications and creative industries studies.
